Orangeville, ON – This past August 2024, Theatre Orangeville was awarded a grant through the Experience Ontario 2024 program, through Ontario’s Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, to support festival and event organizers carry out innovative, in-person experiences that connect people with their communities and increase tourism spending. The grant of $20,000 was used to support Theatre Orangeville host our third annual Summer Arts Fest, showcasing local artists and promoting tourism to our community.

"As someone who enjoys the performing arts in our community, I am proud of our government's support of Theatre Orangeville's Summer Arts Fest. Investing in the arts boosts local economies while enriching communities and inspiring the next generation of performers and artists." said Dufferin-Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones.

Theatre Orangeville’s Summer Arts Fest brings local patrons and tourists together, connects with new audiences and supports local businesses – all to celebrate the magic of live performing arts. It provides a platform to creatively engage local artists to share their talent, build exposure and continue our pursuit to advocate for systemic social change through the delivery of diverse productions.

The Experience Ontario 2024 fund enabled Theatre Orangeville to expand its vision and methods of delivering performing arts to our community and to tourists who come from near and far to experience the rich artistic community we have here to offer in Dufferin County.

"We were so grateful to receive the Experience Ontario 2024 grant, which allowed us once again to engage and host a myriad of local and visiting artists. With these talented Theatre creators, we successfully delivered a brilliant selection of diverse, inclusive, thought provoking and financially accessible live performances that touched the hearts sparked the imaginations of patrons of all ages," said Sharyn Ayliffe, Executive Director for Theatre Orangeville.
